Carmen Bachez
Associate Producer & Development Manager
Carmen Bachez began her career in 2012, after graduating from the Digital Media and IT program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). She is currently the Associate Producer and Development Manager at Prairie Dog Film + Television and has since worked on 5 seasons of television including, the award-winning drama series BLACKSTONE (APTN/CBC/NETFLIX/AMAZON PRIME) and the procedural crime drama, TRIBAL (APTN/CBC/WILDBUNCH).
Her skillset expands over multiple areas of production from development to post-production. She has experience providing feedback and editing scripts, creating pitch decks, look books and bibles, and helps pitch projects to broadcasters and streamers. Carmen provides support with funding grants applications, award submissions and mentorship applications. During production she provides feedback on casting, managing social and digital media websites, and marketing and publicity.
Carmen was recently selected as one of the Netflix-BANFF Diversity of Voices participants for the 2023 Banff World Media Festival, nominated for Best Web Series at the 2022 Alberta Film & Television Awards and was winner of Best Cinematography at the 2014 24/One Edmonton Film Festival. She is a member of the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA) and Women in Film and Television – Alberta (WIFTA).
